The Mask


I forgot about this movie I used to own it on VHS ages back actually might still have it somewhere. Anyway this is a bad ass movie I don't get why the critics didn't like it. I mean come on Jim Carrey as the mask I don't think their is a better choice.

Well the story is about well you know "The Mask". Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is a nice guy but maybe too much of a nice guy. Well for him things seem to be at the worst point in his life. This is when he stumbles on this mask that will let him do anything he has ever dreamed of from popping his eyes out from his sockets to super speed, but what i like most of all is he can change his clothes in under a second.
But Stanley isn't the only one who wants the mask.....

Oscar (Will Smith) is a small time fish with big dreams. Lucky for Oscar he lands in the right place at the right time when the leader of the "underworld" mafia Don Lino (Robert De Niro) loses his son in an unfortunate accident and passes away. Oscar a bottom feeder takes advantage and hustles his way into fame and fortune by the name of the "Sharkslayer". But this doesn't go well with Don Lino and theres trouble brewing in the ocean......

Personally i think this is a fantastic movie but forgotten by most so here's another chance to live in that moment again.

When i first heard the plot to this movie starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel i was very excited to see it.

The plot of this movie is as follows Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) is a lonely devorced man who's life is going nowhere works in the bank as a loan consultant. Then BOOM he decides to to say YES to everything for 1 whole year and that when he meets Allison (Zooey Deschanel) and both fall in love with each other. This is when everything goes wrong................ I have seen this movie and encourage others to watch it if you haven't seen it it's a must see.

Milo Boyd (Gerard Butler) a bum of a bounty hunter gets a once in a life time opportunity to track down his bail-jumping ex, reporter Nicole Hurly (Jennifer Aniston). Nicole gives him the slip to follow a lead on a murder cover-up. Milo realises this might be more than he bargained for. So basically Nicole is is chasing her lead, Milo is chasing Nicole and the bad guys are chasing them both just like Tom and Jerry. Also in all the madness they manage to squeeze in a little romance.

Whoever hasn't yet seen this movie i recommend it as my sides were splitting in laughter. In fact I think I'm going to go watch it again.
